Automatic drop seal with delayed actuation
The Stadi LD from athmer is an automatic drop seal with a time-delayed activation mechanism, specially developed for doors in pressure-sensitive or airtight rooms. The seal lowers only when the door is fully closed, enabling controlled pressure equalisation during door closing.
This function is particularly important in areas where air pressure differences may occur, such as airlock situations or rooms with a high level of airtightness. Due to the delayed lowering mechanism, air can escape during the closing process, allowing the door to close more easily while still ensuring reliable sealing.
Delayed actuation for controlled pressure equalisation
The StadiLD features a special mechanism consisting of a damping cylinder and spring, which deliberately delays the lowering of the seal. This provides sufficient time for pressure equalisation between adjacent rooms during the door closing process.
Once the door is fully closed, the drop seal automatically lowers and seals the gap between the door leaf and the floor. When the door is opened, the seal retracts immediately, preventing unnecessary contact with the floor.
This technology ensures optimal sealing movement and reduced friction, supporting durable and low-maintenance operation.
