Retrofit sealing system for existing entrance doors
The state building codes* require tightly closing apartment entrance elements. However, these are often not present in existing apartments, because the doors often show deformation over time due to seasonal temperature fluctuations and no longer lie flush with the drop seals. This leads to drafts and avoidable energy loss, as well as significantly reduced sound insulation, giving tenants cause for complaint. With WE-Dicht, athmer has launched a retrofittable sealing system that can easily seal door deformation of up to 10 mm (optionally 14 mm). The WE-Dicht system is suitable for apartment entrance doors of all types and impresses with its short installation time. Installation is carried out from the hallway side with the door closed, so it is not absolutely necessary to make an appointment with the tenant. After installation of the WE-Dicht system, the door is permanently sealed, thus providing optimum protection against drafts, energy loss and noise pollution. Optionally, the WE-Dicht system can be supplemented by an automatic bottom drop seal, which automatically seals the gap between the door and floor when the door is closed.
