The classic drop seal
Consistently positive feedback and enthusiastic customers confirm the exceptionally high sound insulation values of the seals. With a 7 mm gap (between floor and door), the Schall-Ex® L-15 now achieves values of 52 dB, with a 15 mm gap it is still 51 dB, with which athmer has set a new industry-wide benchmark with the proven groove dimensions of 15 x 30 mm.
Even in double-leaf door systems with the optimally matched flush bolt - which athmer supplies directly if required - the Schall-Ex® provides excellent sealing, as the projection of the sealing profile on the closing sides of the door leaves no gap.
Thanks to a standard sliding actuator that can be adjusted without tools, there is no longer any need to invest time in attaching a protective pressure plate - even on lacquered wooden frames. This is an enormous plus point both functionally and visually! The clip-in actuator, which can therefore also be retrofitted, also has another advantage: you can activate the seal for the first time and put it into operation only when the new building is ready for occupancy.
This ensures that dirt, debris and dust from the construction site do not damage the seal profile in advance or impair its function.

Schall-Ex® L-8
In the case of door elements with a very high level of sound insulation, two rows of sealing are often used both for the perimeter and floor seals. The second rebate in double rebate doors or in flush doors with an additional rebate is usually very narrow, which requires the narrowest possible drop seal. In particular when the thickness of the door has been reduced to a necessary minimum.
In order to offer the market a solution for this, athmer has developed the narrowest seal variant currently in the product portfolio. The new Schall-Ex® L-8/30 WS drop seal with a groove dimension of 8 x 30 mm, it is particularly suitable for use in the second sealing level.
Similar to its big sister Schall-Ex® L-15/30 WS, it has a parallel lowering without inner profile offset for secure sealing in the corner area, a sliding actuator that does not require a pressure plate in the frame and can also be adjusted without tools, and level compensation for sloping floors. In addition, the inner profile including the silicone sealing profile can be removed to allow optimum cutting to size and thus prevent leaks. If the sealing profile needs to be replaced, this can be done while the drop seal is still installed.

Fast and therefore more cost-effective
The new generation of seals can also be installed much faster and thus more cost-effectively. Thanks to a standard sliding actuator mechanism that can be adjusted without tools, there is no longer any need to invest time in attaching a protective pressure plate - even on lacquered timber frames.
This is an enormous plus point both functionally and visually! The clip-in and thus also retrofittable actuator has another tangible advantage: the seal can only be released and put into operation for the first time when the new building is ready for occupancy. This ensures that the dirt, debris and dust of the construction site do not damage the seal profile in advance or impair its function.
