Intumescent Hardware Protection Sheets
Interdens®
A phosphate-based intumescent sheet that expands many times its original volume when exposed to temperatures of 150°C or more. It forms a dense, heat-resistant foam that seals joints and cut-outs for hardware in fire-rated doors, providing up to 120 minutes of fire resistance. It is supplied in bespoke kits containing pre-cut sheets or strips with a self-adhesive backing, making it ideal for custom hardware configurations and ensuring quick installation.
- FIRE DOOR PROTECTION - Ideal for addressing weaknesses in firerated doors caused by the removal of core materials or the installation of hardware with higher thermal conductivity, which can lead to premature failure.
- PROVEN FIRE RESISTANCE - Interdens® has been included in numerous global fire door tests, demonstrating up to 120 minutes of fire resistance when tested in accordance with BS 476-22 and EN 1634-1.
- CUSTOMIZABLE SOLUTIONS - Available in sheet form or can be precut to suit specific door hardware requirements, with the option for bespoke pre-cut kits designed for individual fire test evidence and hardware configurations. It is supplied in white with a self-adhesive backing as standard, offering ease of installation and versatility.
Palusol®
made from sodium silicate and offers high expansion rates starting at 100°C, non-toxic emissions and superior sealing for doors and glazing with fire resistance of up to 120 minutes. Available in various strips and lengths, Palusol® is perfect for applications where safety, health and durability are equally important.
- FIRE PROTECTION APPLICAITON - Primarily offers passive fire protection for fire doors and glazing. Additionally used in other fire-resistant building components to contain fire and smoke.
- DELIVERY SIZES - Available in both sheet and strip for various application
- NON-TOXIC - Manufactured from natural and nearly unlimited raw materials (silicate). Unlike many other intumescent building materials, the carbonization gases released in a fire are classified as non-toxic.
Fire Rated Louvers & Grilles
Fire Rated Louvers (FLV)
Provide essential ventilation and airflow during normal use. However, they feature a heat-triggered fusible link mechanism that automatically closes the blades at 70°C, forming an airtight seal against smoke and flames.
